Organizations

Several professional organizations either are devoted to education or have branches devoted to education.

• The American Education Association has an Education component.
• The primary concern of the Mathematical Association of America is postsecondary mathematics education in the USA, while the primary concern of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics is elementary and secondary mathematics education in the USA.
• The National Science Teachers Association‘s mission is “… … to promote excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all…”
• The American Physical Society has portals for education and enthusiasm.

And there are several activities.

• The National University of Singapore’s Signapore National Crystal Growing Challenge, an annual high school competition.
